I was inspired to paint this self-portrait when I was in Cuba and getting ready to head out and explore and snapped a photo in the mirror. The falcon represents protection and in the bowl there are skulls. This represents taking in the horrors fed to us in the current system and metabolizing it into strength, survival, and thriving.
